I belive that I am having the lovely paxil withdrawal symptoms, they are not life threatening (yet), as you can see from my signature line I have been totally off Paxil for 1 week 3 days -- and you can see that I started Cymbalta to replace Paxil as it pooped on me and threw me into bipolar II episode -- thanks Paxil.

Anyone had experience with paxil w/d and can you give insight or suggestions on how I can elieviate the symptoms, if my anxiety gets too bad I take .5 Klon and that has been pretty much every day. I know that Cymbalta will take time to get into system, this is week 3 of 60mg -- hurry up and work please!  I would like to feel like I have my life back.

Try to keep calm though this. I know it isn't any fun, but the cymbalta should be starting to get into your system and will relieve the withdrawal effects. Have faith, and when you are feeling bad, you know the reason so that makes it that much easier to deal with. We wish you the best and do keep us posted as to what you are going through. Lay down if the effects get too bad, or call your doctor. There might be something that he/she can do for you.

Thank you for the reply!!! I have found online resources too that also say, keep telling yourself its the evil drug LEAVING your body, not me, and that actually helps to calm me down....because when the weird feelings/emotions hit its like WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING?? I attempted several years ago to stop Paxil by tapering but not adding another AD, and so I actually remember some of these feelings/emotions that are happening. Back in the day I was like I cant do this and went back on the Paxil--not an option this time as it pooped out on me. So, day by day, looking at the positive, its one day closer to the paxil leaving for good and one day closer for the Cymbalta to kick in!
