His mother has not heard from him since march and we are not sure what To do or if there is anything we can do, he is an adult but there must something seriously wrong and no one knows what it is and I as well as his family and all his friends are really concerned. Wow Supai,

Welcome to the forum first of all. It is hard to get people to get help. As long as he is still alive and okay, there really isn't much you can do other than to try to reach out to him. He sounds like he has isolated himself from the world. He need counsleing and possibly medication. But if he just knows that you are there, I am sure that it helps. You are doing the best tht you can. You can't make him get help, but you can suggest it. Even to get him to open up about things. I know that you are worried. Say a prayer for him. That often helps. Just don't give up on him. I hope that your friend comes out of isolation and gets some help. Keep posting. It does a person good to get things out and let's see what other advice you get.

Hugs, Karen

I agree with Karen. Just letting him know you are there is huge. I know I have been in a state where I push everyone away because I feel ashamed and I'm letting them down. Just keep checking on him and keep leaving him notes or cards. He will eventually reach out for help. But if you give up he might feel abandoned and alone. You are doing the right thing and you are a good friend.
