I dont know why but I always feel better when it rains.  I guess it gives me reason to be lazy and unmotivated.  Life as I know it.

The lightning storm is pretty cool.

I like thunderstorms too. Well, until it fried my dvd player once. But they don't bother me. I kind of feel good when it rains too. Have a lot of pain before the rain though with the barometric pressure changing. But once it comes, I feel okay. It is super hot here today and there is a great chance of thunderstorms. Hopefully that will cool it off.

I am glad too that you are feeling okay.

Karen/getting by, get a surge protector for your entertainment system, it'll help with those...
I have a surge protector on my new adjustable bed, and it was only 19.99 before tax...
Thunderstorms sure can help by reducing the humidity, for when the storms over...
3 day in the 100's here, way to hot...

Chartreux,

What had happened is that the cable company didn't ground the wire when they hooked up the cable. So that is why it came into the house. Boy did it stink, that burning electrical smell. But they had to replace it for me, so that was good. Except the one I had was better, I got it on sale. So they only would pay for that price, the one I got now, I don't really like as much. I have surge protectors on most everything now. They cost a little more, but worth it. But yeah, the lightning hit the power pole next to our house and traveled down the cable line and came right into the house. The dog was trying to attack the dvd player, it was a trip. Hot here too, almost 100 degrees. Not much lower.

Come on RAIN!!!

the rain can do a lot of things...I guess the rain can be a good thing because after the rain clears you feel like a newer person and that everything was washed away. Or so I feel when it rains here.

I know the rain is a good thing sometimes.

Found out today that I have one more visit for my clinical research and then I will be done with the study.  It has not helped at all and I am so afraid that I am going to spend my entire summer depressed and sad.  I just keep wishing for a miracle.
Might not be tonight, tomorrow or the next day..but
everything's gonna be ok

Miracles do happen Teresa. And I feel that you are going to get better in time. Keep on pushing though and know that we are all here behind you.

Take care,

Kinda tired today, hoping next week will be better.  Thinking about going to Georgia in a couple weeks to see my daughter, making arrangements to do so are the stressful part.  But I do need to see her.

It will be worth the stress Teresa, besides just take it one moment at a time until you get there. I am so happy that you are going to see your daughter. I bet it is hot in Georgia. lol... This will be good for you.

Yea, it probably is pretty hot and with my hot flashes it ought to be a lot of fun.
The situation is stressful but I will try to make the best of it for her and me of course, it is just really hard you know.

Hi Teresa,

I like your sig. I just noticed that you changed it. I think you will be glad that you went. I am going through the hot flash thing too. Not as bad as before though. But all in all, going through the change hasn't been that bad for me. Knock on wood. I hope that you have a wonderful time with your daughter. I know it is hard, but you can do this.

Thanks, I am going to try to handle it.  Just with the depression and all it is hard to say how you feel day to day, I really hate that.  When I have good days,I want them to last forever and believe me I try really hard everyday.  So much so it is tiring.

I do have stuff to look forward too lately so that gives me some happiness!!!!

I am glad that you have some things to look forward to Teresa. We all need that. I know with depression you have to take life one day at a time. And that is what I have to do. Otherwise, I would be totally off my rocker. Keep up the good work Teresa. And I wish for you some more of those bright days.

I really love thunderstorms, especially those in the Spring and Summer, the more violent the better.  Unfortunately for me, they cause me an unbelieveable amount of pain.  Changes in weather are the biggest trigger I have for my migraine headaches.  The faster and more intense the change, the less likely I am to be able to avert getting a headache.  Here in Central Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Eastern United States, the weather patterns can change here in a matter of moments.  Weather fronts roll through the mountains and valleys sometimes quickly, while others linger for days.  It can be sunny and hot one minute, then stormy, winds driving the rain and the temperature dropping 30 or 40 degrees moments later.  Then the sun can peak through again and it's all bright and shiny once more.  This pattern can repeat itself several times a day...beautiful to experience...if it weren't for the dang pressure in my head.

As the exact thing was occurring this morning, I decided to dub the effect "YO-YO-HEAD."  When I described it to my doctor, I switched it to a more technical term, the "Rapid Cycling Bi-Polar Weather Induced Common Migraine."  It starts so quickly, it's hard for my migraine abortive medication to get to work before the headache becomes firmly intrenched.  It got hold of me yesterday afternoon, to the point I was forced to seek out medical intervention, a pain shot from my local walk-in clinic.  It worked fairly well yesterday evening, but the weather kept cycling through, and by this morning, I was forced into seeking out more treatment with my primary care physician.  The weather is still switching back and forth, although now not quite as quicky and violently as it has been the past couple of days.  I'm praying at this point that things just stay steady for a while, since my last shot has worn off, and my head now feels like it's been dribbled up and down a basketball court for the past 36 hours.  UGH!

I love the rain, it seems to relax me. Our family friend has one of those sun rooms with the large windows going all the way around and it is so nice to sit back there when it is raining.
