Hello,

I've posted a few times here so some know me. I just need to vent. I am having the worst day in a very long time. I'm at work, back for 9 months so far since being off for 2 years. My life is going very well, I have a new lady, a new place and my career is on track. But I just can't stop crying today.

My Dad is 86 and not in good health - I would venture he has maybe 10 years left. I haven't seen my eldest son (21 now) in over a year and then he told me to stay the **** out of his life. I miss him so much and as far as I know he's living on the streets.

I just miss them both so so much. My Dad lives 2000km away. I know my recent lack of sleep is not helping matters but knowing doesn't help stop it. My colitis is flaring badly as well so I feel like a crappy mess. I just need to tell SOMEONE.

It's always amazed me how so very alone we can feel in a world so hugely populated. Like a speck of dust floating aimlessly through the galaxy. Isolated, separated, minimized, pointless, fruitless, insignificant and unseen.

I am desperate for a hug.....from my son.

This day will end and another, brighter day full of new promise and possibilities will come tomorrow.

I CAN make it today. Tomorrow will come no matter what today brings. Thanks for listening (reading?). This site is a treasure.

B

Hi B,

I am glad that you posted and I hope that we can help you to feel better. I am sorry about the situation with your son. Maybe in time, his attitude will change. I don't know what went on between the two of you, but I am very sorry for it happening. I truly hope that one day you two will be able to be together and have some good times.

There will always be brighter days to come. Believe in that. Life does go on. And we have new things to take our minds off of the old things. I hope that this finds you feeling better.

We are all here for you.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks Karen,

nice to hear from another Fibromite. Well my workday is nearly done and I am feeling better. Just one of those days when everything flares at once and the mind wanders over old territory.

I've made plans for comfort food and a warm soak when I get home, followed by a good long sleep.

You are so right about new things - I have a new partner, a new home and soon, a new workplace. Thinking of how good my life has become got me through today and tomorrow I start anew.

Thanks for commenting Karen - that means an awful lot. : )

Brian
Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Karen,

I haven't been on there much but I should - I found the most amazing book at a local thrift store. The precise title escapes me just now but something like;

Fibromyalgia and Myofascial (Disorder?)

Anyhow, a heck of an eye opener. I'll post the title in Fibro next chance I get.
