Hi Confused21,

Welcome to the HealingWell Depression forum. I am glad that you posted here. But sorry that you aren't feeling well.

If you feel the ptsd starting to take over again, I think it would be wise to talk to somebody like a counselor to help you through this. It is noting to sneeze at. It can really effect you. But coming here and telling us is a good start. It takes a lot of courage to pour your feelings out, even if it is on the internet.

I am sure that you are feeling alone too coming here from another country. I am sorry that the relationship with your friend got split up due to his family. That just doens't seem right.

Do you have any friends that you can talk to? You sound so alone, and that makes me feel bad. I so wish you had family or friends close by. It really helps to have a support group. That is where we will come in. We will be your support group. Keep posting and let us know a little more about yourself if you would like to. Like where you were from and where your family is now. I wish there were some way that you could see them. Can you talk to them by phone or internet?

I sure do hope that you feel better soon. And I hope that you seek counseling for the ptsd.

Hugs, Karen

Have you tried going to the department of human services? They might help you if your income is low. Also a lot of the mental health facilities work on a sliding scale which is based on your income too. Sometimes you can see them for as low as 10.00. I would give it a try. Is it that you want to go back home? Would your parents or family pay for a flight back? I would ask them, maybe they could lend you the money to go home and once you get on your feet, you can pay them back. I have a couple of sites that I know about that are about depression. I will post them for you...

I don't know if this will help you or not, but it is free and you might find it to be helpful.

Let me know what you think.

Seems like what you need is a big hug and comfort... and a lot of those needs, funnily enough can be met on this site. I recently had a huge meltdown and the only place I felt safe was here. I clung to this forum like no body's business, but it helped pull me through. I'd go as far as to say it helped save my life. I have met a lot of wonderful people here - and there is a chat function also - so try to use that too. Life can be overwhelming at times and a caring community like Healing Well, can make such a difference. I hope you can get the same benefit from this site as I have. Welcome :)
