It looks like we are having a long holiday weekend this weekend.  If anybody would like to share what they are doing, feel free.

We are suppose to go picking strawberries tomorrow after breakfast with a friend we haven't seen for many years.  He is now married with two girls, 4 and 6.  It should be fun (if we don't get rained out).  The third is my bil's birthday.  He will be 60 this year.  So our weekend is pretty full.  Weather providing.

I also believe that Monday is Canada Day.  So if there are any people from Canada, I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

With the holiday weekend, the forum often gets slow, so if you are new and don't get a reply to your first post, please do not dispair.  Somebody will post back to you eventually.  And also we have a chat room for anybody interested.

I hope all of you have a great weekend.  I will be on from time to time, but may be a little less due to things going on.  But I try to check the forum as often as I can.

Take care all,

Hugs, Karen

Not too much going on over here, going to an MLB game tonight, relaxing with the fam tomorrow, probably the same on Monday. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Thanks for the well wishes Karen.

I am probably not doing much, just hoping for my condition to improve :)

It sounds like you have a lot to look forward to, I love long weekends.

TBH, I am not into all the activities. I will pick the strawberries. And then I will be hurting. But my husband makes the best strawberry freezer jam imaginable. I am so lucky. I help, but he does most of it. I will probably be glad when the holiday is over. But you never know, it could be fun.

Thanks IG,

I got a feeling it might rain, but they aren't forcasting it. It is going to be cloudy and hot I guess. We'll see. Tonight and tomorrow thunderstorms. So may not be picking strawberries tomorrow. Oh well, we can do it another day.

I hope you have a wonderful time too.

Hugs, Karen

Im not doing anything, been feeling worse and worse everyday. Not into the holidays anymore. My health is diminishing and so is my will to do anything.

Hi Hurt and Scared: I myself have nothing but work to do this weekend. My children just left with their father (my ex). I've been sitting here moping and feeling a little sorry for myself. Then I just read your post.

You mentioned that your health is diminishing and I am really sorry to hear that. I'm not much into holidays myself but I've been starting to feel its important to take advantage of our time and make it count. If there is anything that you can do to make yourself feel a little better this weekend please try. Even if it is something little like getting your nails done, calling a good friend (or someone you haven't spoken to in awhile) or even watching a movie to make you laugh. It might help to uplift your mood a little.

Remember you're not alone in spirit this weekend. I'm sure there are others besides you and I who don't have parties, plans, etc. Just come back and post. I know I'll be around checking in now and then.

Cass

I did my big thing for the weekend. We picked strawberries on a farm this morning. Now we have to make freezer jam out of them. They are so yummy...

I hope everybody is feeling better. I will most likely be around this weekend too.

Hugs, Karen

Theres not really much i can do cause i cant breathe that well, it affects my whole life. cant hang out with friends or family, talk on the phone or watch tv that much cause i cant breathe when i get too happy, sad, angry, or excited. it really sucks and i have no energy to do anything anyways. This disease has ruined my life.

Hi again, Hurt and Scared. I'm sorry. I didn't realize the extent of your health issues. Do you live on your own and/or have others to help you? Karen had a good question on whether or not you have oxygen assistance.

I just wanted to check back in to see if you had re-posted as I was thinking of you. I'm hoping that you will have a little bit of energy to chat a little more.
