I've been treated for depression and anxiety since high school, but I'm wondering if that's even the case any more. I learned in my psych class that it was common for teenagers and younger kids to show depression and sadness through anger, and my meds did help with that. But I'm in my 20's now and have been off meds for about a year. No more constant sadness or random crying, but the anger issues did come back. No violence, mind you. Just complete rage to the point that I can't see straight sometimes, which does make me cry. But I'm not sad in the least, just irritated. So could that be depression still or something else completely?

Have you thought about anger management? It might help you. If that is the only time you feel bad, and aren't sad in general, than it could be just something that you need to work on. I would go online and look for some type of help with anger. Or talk to a counselor. That always helps,. It would probably be a quick fix.

Best wishes to you.

My brother has rage. Really bad. To the point that he becomes pretty dangerous an I worry about him. He never really shows signs of sadness, low self asteem, etc so I do think it could be solely an anger issue.

But is the anger coming from somewhere? It might sound clichè but a lot of the time people have reasons for anger and never address it. U might think there's no reason at all for why u feel like this but maybe there's something there that u havnt managed to find your peace with?
