Hey guys,

Summer is nearly over and I thought maybe we could share some of the good things that we enjoyed this year.  I can't believe it is August already.  Soon it will be autumn (my favorite season).

I planted a garden this year, though I put it in kind of late.  I have beans flowering and peas.  The tomatoes have baby tomatoes on them.  I also planted some basil, thyme and sage.  And bought a scroungy little rosemary plant that is doing good now.

If you have anything you would like to share about your summer, feel free to post here.  I am sure a lot of us have been having some fun as the forum has been slow and I always figure when it is that way that people are out enjoying themselves.

If nothing else, post here to say hello to your fellow members.

I hope that you all are having a good day.

Hugs, Karen

I hung up a new bird feeder and watch beautiful birds come to it each day. Your vegetables sound wonderful, Karen!

That sounds great, Karen! Good for you for taking time to take part in something you enjoy.

I've had a difficult summer because I moved in July, but before I moved, I lived in a beautiful little beach community in central/northern California...and the month before I left, I made sure to bike to the beach as often as I could--I was able to accomplish this every day. I biked on a road resting on a cliff above the beach, and sometimes I'd stop and look at the surfers, tourists, or sometimes just the scenery. It was truly beautiful.
