Just curious what people think about taking fish oil to help anxiety/depression - do you think it helps? is there any cause for concern about drug interactions?

I take fisdh oil, I understnad it helps with our thinking. I don'[t know if it helps me or not as I take so many meds, but I keep taking it as my psychiatrist says it is good for me. I think it can help0 in many ways,. The omega fatty acids are suppose to be good for the brain. I can't hurt and I don't think it interacts with any drugs.

Good luck with the fish oil.

Hugs, Karen

PS I take the kind that you don't burp up. One is flavored with oranges. I can't stand the taste of it.

I take fish oil...and I think it helps if I'm consistent with it. I take quite a bit of it...maybe close to 6000 mgs. because I've read that it's effective in high dosage. But check with your doctor. I also take inositol and that has helped.

Fish oil is just that, fish oil. OMega fatty acids. They don't interact with anything. They, I have read, are good for us.  unless you are allergic to it.   I take so many meds Sue for various reasons. I know that the Vitamin D3 helps me. It always makes me feel better. What I would like to know is why you pick on people on the forum. Why you are constantly challenging other's posts?   I am just talking. I take it, I don't know if it makes me feel any better. I know, it doesn't make sense now does it. But I am honest. I don't think it would interact with other meds. It is just my opinion. I am not perfect. But saying what I feel. I am sorry that you don't like that.  I am not a doctor.  That is for sure.  But I don't think it would have any bad interactions with meds.  But the poster should talk to a doctor before taking it.
