I'm back again. I am holding on to you guys until my doctor's visit. Is it "normal" to sometimes feel like the air I'm trying to breathe is being sucked away? Also sometimes I am literally trembling. These things come on around the time when I am experiencing a real breakdown. It's those times where I think a hospital visit is immenent(sp). Oh well, a positive is that I do sleep at night, thanks to the nortriptyline. But I need something for the daytime. Tried to call my neurologist, got an answering machine. Will try again tomorrow.

Hi Stillme,

It sounds like you might be experiencing anxiety. Have you talked to your doctor about this? You may need something extra for anxiety. It can make a person feel like they are having a heart attack. So try not to get scared, and tell your doc your symptoms. Keep trying to get ahold of your neurologist. Do you have a family doctor?

Hugs, Karen

I do have a family dr. However, I usually skip him and go to a specialist. He got on me last month for that:) I like him but for some reason don't like to tell him when something bad is going on. (Go figure). Maybe its because I think he will look down on me. But I can probably see him before september. Thanks.
