I haven't been on here in awhile. Lately I have been feeling low though. Actually I don't really know how to explain how I've been feeling. I would describe it as flat. Just blah.

Recently I lost a whole group of friends. Although I know they were not good friends, it just sucks because now I feel like I have nothing to do. My other group of friends all have jobs as do I so we are all busy all the time. We are all also going back to our schools (college) for the fall soon. Most of my friends are from high school. I have made friends in college but nobody like my friends from grade school/high school.

I am so young and I feel like I should be having fun but I am not. I just want to have fun and enjoy life but my life literally is so dull, difficult and sad. I have been through so much and sometimes I just don't even understand where I am or how I got to this point.

I am adopted and at times I feel like this is partly why I am always confused and lost in life. I just feel as though I have a hole in me. Something or someone is missing. I have had so much loss in life and I just don't understand why or how to deal with it all.

I just want to be happy and I don't know where to begin I guess. I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder in 2009. I take generic forms of zoloft (75mg) and lamictal (25mg).

Growing up sucks sometimes and whoever said a person is grown up at 18,19 or even 21 needs to be shot, or at least given a good slap upside his dimwitted head.

Something that may help is to sit down and think about what you like and/or like to do and then look around to see if their are any existing clubs or groups that share that interest. If there are not then form your own group.

Let's say you are really into poetry, and there are not any open poetry reading and discussion groups at your school. Create yourself a special email account and print up some fliers saying that you are forming a poetry group and give out that new email address and say if you are interested to contact you by email. The why you are collecting responses look for a safe neutral area where you all can meet once a week. Talk to the people in your school's library or at the main office if you don't know a place to do this. Then once you find your place set up a date to meet.

Another idea would be to create a "Lost Souls" group for people who are feeling a little lost, out of place, homesick, etc.

Either way it would provide you and others as a way to meet and make new friendships.
