I was just wondering how some of you get thru the day, I know I hate waking up in the morning because I know that I am going to feel down and cry alot. I try to keep busy but you can't be busy 24/7 and there's going to be alone time and than is when I have time to think.

The depression is controlling my life and its starting to really scare me, I can't do the things I used to like doing, I don't think clearly, I have so many things I want to do but when I get up in the morning I dont have the motivation to do them. The doctor added a new drug to my old one but I know its going to take time to kick in, but does anyone have any advice in the meantime...

Thanks

Krista

Do you have a gym membership? Some days it's hard to get out of bed and do anything, but I always make time to go to the gym. Afterwards, I always feel better for the rest of the day and it gives me more energy. Plus, you might meet new people to hang out with. If you don't belong to a gym you can always go for a walk or a bike ride.

When i didn't have a job to goto it was really tough to find something positive to do durring the day. now that i have a job it's sort of keeping my mind buesy with things that when i come home i just want to relax with family or friends.

Empty time and loonlyness is not good, you must find a job and if you have family or friends try to get in touch with them it's very important to avoid spending time alone everyday. and if you do at least have a good book to read for that time or something to keep you buesy.

Oh yea and having a gym to go to , at a set time helps too. maybe even a dancing leason or group therapy where you can meet some people. check out Yoga leasons if there is a place near by they r so relaxing.

I get through the day a little at a time. I don't try and make a list of everything I want to do, when the list doesn't get done only makes things worse. I just try and do a little here and ther and when I look back I see that I actually got quite a bit done. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

on a second thought i didn't give a complete answer there lol.. sorry sometimes i start throwing ideas forgeting to answer the question!

getting through the day.. i might make it sound simpler than it looks, but getting through the day isn't always eazy even with a job.

first waking up, depending if i took xanax or not, i take 10-30 min to convince myself to get up..
at work if i don't have something to keep me buesy i feel boared, the buesy days are always better because i don't feel the time run through.. but currenly since i am in a new job i have a lot of time on my hand, i have feelings that i am not usefull to my company sometimes but i try to be patient..
when its about 5 PM i start getting excited to leave office, just because the time is close.. even tho i only leave at 6:30 PM..
at home if i come inside the house and find it empty ( everyone's out) i feel down.. start calling friends or anyone finding what everyone is doing, i hate to spend time alone. when its after midnight i start beating myself to sleep.. lol

Crazy mom

How do you sleep the day away having kids? Are they in school all day or are they to little?
