Ok let me just start off by saying that i've been diagnosed with major depression by a qualified doctor.
I found out i had depression about 2 years ago... well was officially diagnosed 2 years ago. I thought nothing of the daily sadness and not being able to find any happiness in my average days anymore.

Even after 2 years of counseling i can't see any change in myself.. other then being able to actually talk about it.
I hate having to know that i'm going to wake up tomorrow just to go through being lonely and even when i'm in a relationship i still feel as lonely as ever.
I've been put in hospitals etc etc... so they can make sure i won't kill myself, like they are really helping.. those ****ers.

Don't give up. Keep trying. Getting better takes a lot of work and is never easy. But you are going to improve, trust me. The changes can be so gradual that we don't notice them, but others around us do.

Please don't talk about suicide as it is against the rules. Maybe you are due for another counselor if this one isn't helping you.

Take care, keep posting. We are all here for you.

I've been through multiple counselors and still... nothing has actually changed about how I perceive life.

Sorry about the breaking the rules thing I just really can't help myself when i'm expressing, i find it easier to express with music sometimes actually but that just doesn't seem to be helping at the moment.

I thought it would be a good idea to get advice from people in the same sort of position.

It takes time, even with a good counselor. Be patient with yourself. Give yourself a break. The times seem bleak, but you will feel better. I have to say it is hard work. But I have faith that you can do it. There is a good book called "feeling good'. You would probably benefit from reading it.

I hope that you feel better soon.
