today is the second time i cried in school and usually I NEVER CRY.
i am having a j-pouch sugery done this monday october 10 and for some reason it just HIT ME that this is major a lot of things are going through my head ....
like
will a complication come about when they put me to sleep
is my dad going to come
is my cat and the dog going to get along ( i just got a new cat last weekend he's 1 yr. old and my grandparents are vistting and they have a dog hes an old dog )
will my mom be to overwhelmed
will i become addicted to the painkillers ( i havent shared that to much but i have had a past addiction to bynadryl )

then after all of that i am going to a diffrent school wich is good its a school for kids who are behind  in credits ( iam 11) to catch up and graduate on time or early ...the downfall to that is i will have no elective so all of my elective classes i took will now drop. :/ SOOOO MUCH mayb i am thinking  of to much things will work out 4 the best but at the same time its ALL SO OVERWHELMING !!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie,

I am sure that this is very overwhelming at the moment. Try to just let this all happen and not worry about the surgery. They monitor you very closely so if something were to go wrong, you probably wouldn't even know it. But have faith that everything is going to be okay. Try not to worry about how other people are going to fare through this. It is you that is important. But it is so sweet of you to care about your mom and your pets. That shows that you are a good person.

They will probably give you some type of pain medication. But use them with caution. Take only when you need them. I don't think that they will give you enough to get addicted. They give them out sparingly. Just keep in mind that you are only going to take as directed. Trust yourself.

You will be among peers in school. You are all striving for the same thing. To graduate on time. You may have to accept that you are going to have to take certain classes But that is top priority right now. You do want to graduate on time I am sure. So just go with it and study hard,

I have faith in you Jackie. You can do this. Just put your mind to it. Take life one day at a time. Try not to over think, and try not to worry. It will all be okay.

Hugs, Karen
