I have suffered with depression and anxiety for over 14 years.I'm on strong meds at the moment.Lately, especially today have felt really run down, tearful and fed up of everything.Getting constant headaches, pains in chest (on and off) and giddiness.I just want to know if there's a way to help myself feel better?

Hi princess

Welcome to our forum. What kind of meds are you on? Any new meds? Sometimes we just need to change them or alter dose or maybe you're just having a bad IS Monday-lol!

The headaaches and chest pains could be a little panic attack...if they keep up, go see your doc.

Keep us posted. I know other folks will drop in and say hello. This is a great place to talk

Hi Princess,

Welcome to HealingWell. I am glad that you have decided to join us.

I think Maggie has a point about the anxiety. But you might want to mention this to your doctor just incase. But anxiety can have a lot of physical symptoms.

If you are interested, there is a book called "feeling good" by Dr. David Burns. It is a good book about cognative behavioral therapy. I find it very helpful. I have had the book since in the 80's so it has been around for a long time. I had lost mine and got another copy on amazon for only 6.00. Also there are a couple of free online services that could help you.

Both of these are free and may be able to help you to help yourself as you would like to.

keep posting and let us know how you are doing. Take care, know that you aren't alone here.

Hugs, Karen
