idea   idea idea idea Thought I would start a new thread because I spent too much time scrolling-lol

Thank you all my friends for getting me thru, even if you didn't condone it. Believe me, I know antids and mood stabilizers and slcohol don't mix....but alot of time goes by and we "forget" that and try again...only 3 chugs of brandy and half a beer and had to lie down...

OK, happy things...My PCP gave Katie some adderall and she said the difference was very noticeable. Focus, fidgetiness etc went away. I don't want to give her meds, esp stimulants, but my dtr deserves happiness , or at least not so many bad days. The adhd you feel right away. She is more pleasant , not so explosive...YES in 2 days...

So, I'm going to pull out the Bible and find some good stuff to motivate me today and not get dragged down again.

Thank you my friends

Good morning to all...

Maggie, thanks for starting a new thread... glad Katie got some meds and they seem effective!

Just came back from a newspaper 'search'. We get the NY Times delivered Fri, Sat & Sun. but someone is snitching it. Must be an early morning jogger. The drop off location is too far from my house to see when it comes. Anyway, not there yet... or already gone.

So, I sat in the car for fifteen minutes in my bathrobe and slippers. Came home, got dressed and will head back shortly.

See you all later.

Oh you girls
Thanks for the laughs. Joyce in her footie jammies, pulled out of the car by police looking for paper thief...priceless

Have a wonderful day ladies..I am glad you are here. I was having vivid dreams last nite and was rolling out of bed in dream, except rolled the wrong way and ran my head into the wall-hard-lol. So I've been up since 2-serves me right for boozing-ha.

Might disappear for nap, but see you this afternoon.

In the row behind the thread titles (I think) it will say "last seen". Just click on that. It takes you to the last post that you looked at. Saves a lot of work. I use to scroll too to the post, then I clicked on that and it took me to the last post I read.

Hope that this helps.

Hi everyone.
Well, I'm out of jail... (just kidding), but still out of our Friday edition. Called the Times. Last loss... a quick replacement.... but no luck today.

I've learned my lesson, though. Usually John gets his paper, this was a first for me. Little did I know that folks renting from us come to work that early! At least four cars passed me in the driveway. I'm surely the topic of the day....fuzzy slippers and all....and I hadn't combed my hair!

Husband's Oncologist check up went fine. Back again in three months.

Did weekly grocery shopping while we were cleaned up. (Usually in jeans covered with paint.) A warm day and a lot of customers were in summer attire, but the air conditioning was on. Many shivering folks.

Blustery rain storm passed through quickly. Oh, there's a VERY young fawn all alone under the crab apple tree, but no Mama in sight. Something else for me to worry about.

Karen, thanks for the 'last seen' tip. It works! Have been hesitant to click on stuff since my two tries on 'Back to Top' didn't function. The computer locked and I had to restart. Probably just me...
See you folks later.
J.

Hey Joyce,

I am so happy that your husband's oncologist appointment went well. Is his cancer in remission? I can't remember what you said. You will find that a lot with me. I forget things easily. I guess it has to do with fibrofog. But I think it is just me...lol...

I am glad that the 'last seen' button is working for you. I hate when my computer acts up. I got this one in April though, so it better be good. They seem to get a mind of their own sometimes. I wonder if a ram chip would help you. I put one in my old computer, it was from 2002. It sped things up and it ran much better. They aren't hard to install. Mine costed about 50.00, but if your computer is newer than mine was, it will probably be cheaper. There is a way to find out if you need ram space. But for the life of me, I can't remember how I did it. I got help right on this forum. We had a computer geek on at the time. That is what I call people who know more than myself. As I am quite computer illiterate. But he told me how to check that and how to do the chip. My husband did it. We had to take the old chip and move it over and put the new chip where the old one was. It really helped my computer to run better.

I have a habit of hitting the wrong keys. I usually really mess things up when I do that. On my laptop, I disabled the mouse, but the key was close to the back space key (which I use a lot, lol...). I some how hit it. I had to call the company to help me. I was so frustrated. I had just bought the laptop and they said I had bought it in 2010. It took four different people to get help. One wouldn't help me unless I bought an extended warrenty. I was so mad and frustrated. Finally I got a woman, that I could almost understand. They talk so fast and technical. But she helped me. I was on the phone for an hour and a half. I tell you. I should of written down what she told me to do. But I was just so happy to have it working finally. I have since pushed that button again. I don't think it should be right next to the back space key. It was the touchpad that I disabled, for the life of me, I don't even know why you should have that option, unless you use an actual mouse. Anyhow I was able to get it back on my own. But next time I might not. I am rattling, forgive me... I have a tendancy to do that...

I hope that the fawn will be okay, usually the mothers aren't far off. Do you have deer hunting season there? We do. Bow season came in October 1st. Gun season starts Novermber 15. At that time I don't take Jasmine into the woods. I am afraid of her getting shot. But up until then, I go out in the fields where I don't have to worry about bow hunters. So far we haven't ran up on anybody else out there. I go with my girlfriends on Sunday afternoons. We all have dogs and we take them for a walk in an old abandoned apple orchard. It is really pretty. I have taken a few photos of the dogs and the colors. Such nice times. I love being out in the woods. The dogs get to run and play. It is so much fun.

Well, I have rattled on enough. I hope that you have a good day. Hoping everybody has a nice day!!!

Hugs, Karen

Karen,

Yes, John's Hodgkin's Lymphoma is in remission! There's always a chance of recurrence...that's why check ups every three months. He'll get a CAT scan then too in January, which will be indicative.

I'll look into your suggestions of the ram chip. Never heard of it myself, but both sons are computer savvy, so no problems there.

I don't have a laptop. Considered getting one during the six months I spent with John at his weekly five hour chemotherapy sessions. Did a lot of crossword puzzles then!

Haven't seen the fawn since. It was so small for this time of year. really a youngster. Yes, we have deer hunting season... but NOT on our property! Signs posted. The guys who built our house wanted permission. Great that you have a scenic location to walk with your friends and the dogs.

John left to go to the library (desperate for some reading)... returned minutes later WITH the newspaper. He's singing, now ♫
Life is good...

My husband's legal name is Albert, after his father....but he was called Johnny since he was born, especially after his folks divorced!

about the ♫. You can't do this on a laptop. Must have the number keyboard on the far right. Hold down the left 'Alt' key, then type the numbers 14 on the far keyboard. ♫ ♥ (that's Alt and 3) º is the temperature degree symbol (Alt 167). Play around....

Bayoub2,don't let the laughter and joy deter you from your bible study. I observed your intent to examine it in your post earlier.

You're onto the real power of your life with that and positive thinking, as well. Let me know what you find that grabs you right from the beginning. For me it was psalm 23.

Have a good night tonight.

Enjoy all your friends here, as well.

I.G.
