You certainly did not have enough time, like getting robbed. I am truly sorry
And a match made in heaven=the psych ward-lol
Why do some of us have to stay here and some get to go jamiee? I've had a glimpse and she is serene and loved and watches over you, just as my Dad does. I know this to be true-not so much comfort when you are struggling down here, but at least she feels no,pain anymore, only joy and peace. Take my word for it jamiee...I've been there

thank you maggie. i know she watches over me. this might sound strange, but i watch over her too.

yes no more pain. she had chronic pain and lost a leg from a car accident. this makes me happy

that she is in peace and comfort. and no pain. she was on so many meds and bed-ridden quite a lot.

even though we are not married, we are together forever. a song by joe satriani i have dedicated to

her is 'always with me, always with you'. and this is how i feel. her anniversary comes up soonish.

happy tears to you GEORGIA. ♥♥♥♥♥

turn   yeah smilewinkgrin yeah OK so Jamie and I got off subject sorta.
!. Tradition: we went to a duck pond and way up the hill was this big beautiful home, and all these strangers cam together with candles and caroled in the sno(upstate New York) Then the owners came down and invited us into the house for cocoa and cake...also trying to stay awake for midnight mass and my mother's high clear voice.

2. Best present (we're talking material) a gorgeous 3 speed blue bike and a pair of go-go boots. oh and jade earrings my Dad picked out for me

3wish for 2012-bring those soldiers home!!! Root out all the corporate pigs that sent our jobs overseas while they makt 30 million and don't pay a penny in tax and neither does the company. That my daughter, husband and I can find the laughter and love we used to have, that we all get the right meds or none at all.....let's see, all animal and child abusers get put to death

Well, that 's a cheery note to end on...I wish you smiles, painfree days and the warmth of your loving family (and no fights at the dinner table)

Maggie, (appreciated the 'invitation to participate' notation).

I'm becoming aware that I post when in a 'good' mood.. quiet when down. Probably should be the other way around.... however!

In thinking over your suggestion of 'the best Christmas memories', I'm really surprised that there are so few from all my years. Wow.

Last year was unusual, my husband was just diagnosed... and I didn't really feel like celebrating, but thought... something was better than nothing! Cut off an evergreen branch from a shrub, stuck it in a pot of sand and topped it with a star.

This became our 'symbol of hope'. It stayed in place until Easter....well, lost a lot of needles in the mean time. (I still find them!). We enjoyed the warm glow of the star, and I missed it after it was gone.

OH I remembered a good one. I was a single woman, just starting out after college. Had a teeny apt, managed a Long John Silver's...no plans to go home for xmas.My older employee asked about tree decorations and I said "Naah, I don't need that stuff. I'm getting a bottle of wine.
Christmas eve, there's a knock at the door, I open it and there is a decorated xmas tree with my employee standing behind it...we both started bawling. I think I sat in my chair all nite looking at my tree and the true spirit of Christmas

devil   devil devil devil devil devil BAAAAAAAH HUMBUG!!!!!!

I don't care about the gifts, it is the people we surround ourselves with, trying to live a life God would approve of, get our priorities straight, forgive those who have hurt you, care for those who can't, give to those in need, God gives us a chance to rise up above all the garbage we mire ourselves in and gives us an opportunity to incorporate Jesus' lessons and sacrifice.

Surely someon has good memories, gee whiz, even a cool sleigh ride.....

Are they really? If you don't forgive, the bad guy wins. Believe me they are not thinking about you for a second. The victim, on the other hand is consumed with hate and vengeance. And if they are still renting space in the victim's mind they are violating you again and again.

Sometimes we have to forgive them for a selfish reason, so we can go on with our lives. Our scars should not define us, only show where we have been.

I have experience with this forgiveness stuff. I was an addict for 20 years, trying to make the pain go away...something happened with 3 strangers and me, a 9 year old, who in 1962 did not know how babies were made. And no, they were never caught.

But anyway, we digress. This was supposed to be a happy topic, but I have struck a nerve...so sorry, I really am...I'm sorry you had anything that bad happen to you. We all deal in different ways. I had to work thru it or I would still be a junkie or dead and that is my reality.

Hope I didn't hurt you
Maggiwe

That got a full fledged laugh from me Karen. Life is too short-this depression is not who I am. Before it came, I was a pistol, but I guess I better forgive the depression too-lol. I hate it but I forgive it-can we do that?

Love to you all
