Hi, Display here.

I'm having a hard time today. It all starts off with me getting up in the morning and getting started. Slept in til 9:45 this morning. Then I get up and it's hard to get started on anything.

I am going to try and go to a DBSA meeting today (Depression Bipolar Support Assoc.). The meeting is at 12 and I hope I make it.

I spent most of yesterday with my sister and that was helpful. We took my mom (who is in assisted living) to the doctor. I was able to get some things off my chest, which always helps.

I am really scared about being able to get up and go to work, if I find a job. It just seems like it will be a really big thing - being employed again, and, as much as I need it - for both financial reasons and also because I'm bored - I am dreading it.

Just needed to check in. Thanks for reading.

I think that geting a job might be just what you need to lift you up a little...certainly your self-esteem will go up and financial worries(which sap me very badly) will start dissipating
It's normal to feel anxious tho about finding and starting a new job, but I'm surer you will rise to the ocasion.

I'm feeling pretty down today, financial and kid worries topping my top ten today and altho I know tears and anxiety will not provide any solutions, it's hard to listen to my rational brain sometimes.

Hope your day gets better display.

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

Just my opinion, but there is nothing wrong with tears. It's normal to be sad and tears are a way of expressing that.

When I went to the 12 step meeting on Monday I cried a little and it felt great to relieve some tension.

I wish I could cry more often. Like I said, just my opinion.

Yes, my sister says tears are a gift. Our sadness would tear us up if we couldn't cry. I guess I am just a little tired of it.

How goes your day? Any better?

Maggie

Just dropping in to remind you, you are not alone. Your situation is difficult, but you are sufficient to meet the challenge.

Thanks Blue Mike.

Maggie: yes my day did improve. I went to the DBSA meeting and that really helped! Everyone there was dealing with bipolar or depression and I got many of my feelings and thoughts validated. It is every Wednesday and I will probably go back next week.

Meanwhile, time to make a call about a job.

Cheers

Hi Display,

I am so glad that your day got better. Good luck on the job hunting. It can be frustrating, keep bugging them. That is what I do...

Hugs, Karen
