Hi Guys. I know I have been MIA. I can't explain now online but the next 3 days are going to be critical for me. I've made some life-changing decisions to change the financial struggle I'm going through which will happen today and Saturday and on Sunday I"ll be experiencing major fallout on Sunday because of these decisions.

I love and miss you all!

Cass

Oh Cass,

I am so sorry, I hope that things work out for you. Is this about your home? Keep us posted as we are here for you. I hope this isn't nothing too bad. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs, Karen

Just said a prayer for your peace, Cass, that passes understanding.

Take care through the weekend and keep us posted.

(If you're selling the home, that gets rid of the poison ivy; that's for sure!)

It will all work out for you; give it time.

Thinking of you,

I.G.

Multiple prayers for your comfort and contentment being lifted up throughout the weekend and into Monday; also praying that you will find ultimate happiness in the final decision made on Monday.

Thank you all for your generous sharing of support. It means the world to me and has helped out a lot. Each time that I have felt that I couldn't handle the stress I have looked at these messages and have felt blessed that so many of you care.

As I said before I cannot share a lot of details in the online environment, but in short here is was has occurred over the past few days. Officially on Saturday morning, my two daughters and I moved out of our home. I have not been able to afford it for quite some time nor was I able to work out some type of settlement with my ex-husband. There were too many repairs that needed to be made and I could not afford to stay and heat the home for another winter.

I am quite embarrassed to say that I did what I always thought to be the unthinkable. I have left the house and am turning it over to the bank. There is sure to be a lot of legal fall-out very soon from my ex-husband and the banks but I had to ensure that I could provide a safe and healthy environment for my girls. And this is what I told my former husband when I informed him over the phone the other night that we had left the house and moved.

This has been quite emotional and difficult for them. Luckily, I am able to stay in town and they do not have to change schools. So a lot of stability is left for them. We have a fairly nice condo that I am renting with surprisingly a lot of space. Financially, it is still going to be tight and scary but I have no choice but to make this work and no matter what I will.

Tonight I am exhausted and rather numb. I have been moving furniture and boxes out of my house since Friday morning till 10:00 pm last night and made another trip back to the house tonight. I probably have 2-3 more trips left and then I am done there and can put my full attention to unpacking here.

I'm not sure how I feel right now but it does feel good to have made some decisions rather than living in limbo and fear as I have done for the past few years.

I know for those not in my situation it is probably really easy to judge. All I can say is I hope you never have to face some of the decisions and circumstances that I did. I know I'm not perfect but I'm really trying to do what is right.

Thank you all for caring!

Cass

Cass,

There is nothing to judge, what you did was the best for your children and took courage.  It will be great once you get to the unpacking stage, what a massive job you have undertaken, well done you

I agree, there is nothing to judge. You have to do what is best for you and your children. I am glad you were in the position to be able to move somewhere else. There are those that have to move and have no where to go. Your move took incredible strength. Wishing you the best in your new place.

Like the last two posts, I don't think there is anything to be judged in your situation. You made the best decision for you and your daughters. I hope that you are able to get settled into your new place soon!

Cass,

I am glad that you found a place that you like. No judging here either. You are a wonderful stong individual. I am proud of your accomplishment. You did the best thing.

I'm really glad for you, Cass. You've made a good decision for yourself and
your girls. Here's hoping you have a warm, happy series of holidays coming up.  Thanksgiving in a new, warm environment. Great! (And no more  poison ivy to deal with.)

I.G.
