I wanted  to start a thread where we could pop in and talk about our day.  Even if it sounds boring to the poster, it probably isn't to somebody else.  I would like to try to keep the topics cheerful, but if you are having a bad day, you can share that too.

Today I am going out to lunch with a girlfriend or two.  We all have birthdays around the same time.  So we decided either the casino or lunch.  Being I don't want to lose any money at this time, I opted for lunch.  We might go to the casino on ThanksGiving Day.  We'll see how that one goes.  I don't have plans for turkey day as of yet.  We usually go to the grandkids house.

I am up very early, couldn't sleep in this morning.  I love waking up with the sun, the song of the birds and the breaking of daylight.

Tell us what you are doing today.  Even if it sounds boring to you, it may not be to us.  I think it is just nice to connect.

Hugs to all, Karen

Today...I have to go to work (briefly) to silk screen the final color on the Christmas caroler girl figure.

Then, I'm trying to shovel out 'stuff' in my so-called living room and get ready for Thanksgiving guests. It's not a room we use most of the year...so manages to collect 'what do I do with this' items.

I am going to sort the dirty clothes then wash my sons uniforms. After that I am going to the Redskins game. Hope we win but that's very unlikely. Lol. Through it all I'm going to look for the meds to start helping me get out of this fog. Looking forward to a good day

Good Morning All,

The best advice I feel I give to people is  to try and live in the moment.  Life goes by so fast and we miss so much because we are always so worried about the next thing that we miss the moment we are living right now.

As I am struggling a bit right now I am going to do my best to live in the moment.

I have a to do list and I will be working on that today...........although the temperature is only 19 degrees here I will get out of the house for a few errands.

Great idea for a thread Karen !  :-)

Thanks Kitt,

The members here seem to connect good in this way. Always trying to lighten things up. I hope that you feel better soon. I too am doing the best that I can. Like you say, live in the moment and one day at a time.

Stillme, I hope your team wins.

Jamie and Joyce, Have a great day too!

I hope I didn't forget anybody. IF I did, have a great day too!

Am I getting repetitive? Yes, Can I spell? No...

LOL ;)

I did my healing meditations last night and this morning. They help with my depression. I had a list of things to do and today I did them all. Right now my main focus is on getting the depression under control and not over burdening myself. I'm happier. My Dr. said not to try to wean down on meds until I retire from my crappy job. That's why I don't post here too much. I'll try to check in a much as I can.

Woke up this morning with a splitting headache and an upset stomach and minor fever to find out that my wife has a migraine and my son in congested and running a 101.3 fever so no school for him.

Spent the day napping in the recliner as much as I could in between trying to take care of the kid and trips to the bathroom. Still have a bit of a headache but the rest seems to have passed. The kid was still running a low fever when he went to bed.

Got my fresh turkey yesterday.  Only two still available...they weren't as large as I'd planned, but ok.

Today the rest of my grocery needs.  Not sure when...the stores are so crowded.

My day has been long, very long......

Moki woke me at 0600hrs playing kill the foot, I tried to stay very still in bed so he thought the foot was dead, but he is smarter than that and just kept going and going and going and going, till I eventually gave up.  I got up and had my coffees and smokes till I was properly awake, had a bath and some breakfast, than walked to town for an appointment at the bank to sort out house insurance and make sure my loan agreement would be accepted, and to pay the deposit on a property I was buying.

I than went to the lawyers, which should have been a simple final thing to do, and she sent me home requesting I check that that shed had a permit before she confirmed the sale was unconditional.  I walked home, checked and phoned her and left a message.

In good faith I had already started packing and thought I would tackle the big job of cleaning out the shed which really had become the dumping ground.  I pulled everything out, and shifted the packed boxes from inside, to the shed area, and started sorting through what I would keep and what was trash.  90% was trash, there was a huge rubbish pile on the driveway, so I rang for a skip to be delivered, loaded it up, and then................. the phone rings.

I am normally adverse to picking up the phone, but notice during the week, I have to as the calls are important, so I run inside and it is the lawyer, she re-confirms my message and then tells me the property is mine.

Off course it is I think to myself, I knew that before I even went to the open home, but I am delighted the stress is finally over.  so I text my best friend who lives two hours plane trip away and I tell her I finally have my little house for me and Moki.  I than phoned my other friend and tell her, and tell my Mr friend that has been so helpful during the process.  Everyone is delighted for me.

By now, the sun burn was beginning to set in, and my back was complaining with the lifting and bending, so I have a soak in the bath, and then fed my hungry tummy with dinner.  My Mr friend comes over before I leave for my nightshift, and we have a coffee and try to watch telly, but I cant stay still, I continue to see things that need doing, so I do them, and finally sit for 20mins with him before I go......but my mind is still thinking and I am not taking the TV program in at all.

I make my way into work, tired and sore, and by the time I get home tomorrow morning, it will be 0830hrs, I will toilet Moki, make sure his needs are met and then fall into bed.

As I reflect, I have very few people I consider a true friend, I know many people, but have few friends, my best friend bought me a lawn mower for my new place, and the friend I phoned bought me furniture for the conservatory, my Mr friend has helped with repair jobs and heavy lifting, and I am so grateful for not what they bought me, or do for me, but for the fact that we have secure strong friendship that is likely to last a lifetime.

AND FURHTER MORE.............

If Lil Ole Moki thinks it is cute to play kill the foot today, I will do my usual, keep my eyes closed and play dead, and as he persists, I will still play dead but be annoyed inwardly, and if he continues to persist, I will look up at his cute Lil face and say Good Morning Moki Doki, and bury my face in his tummy and vacum cleaner plant kisses on his belly.

You guessed it, he has me well trained!
