Who knew I would be thankful for having a chronic illness? Actually I wish I never got sick in the first place, but given that I am, I am glad it has changed my life in some good ways. I've been reading responses in the forums to my recent post on Cultivating Gratitude. Little did I know how many people related to my experience.

Hello Peter, we dont have thankgiving in Australia, but it sounds like a good holiday. I am from Sydney, and it has been raining for the last week, today was hot, about 30, or in farinheight about 90. I am not sure what this blog is about, maybe being thankfull. I have tried hard to be positive lately, but I have not been able to do this. I guess I should be thankful i have a job but I dont, I simply feel bad about myself, working hard to try and change my thoughts. I feel my life is gone, no rewards. A positive for me in the last 2 weeks, I have read 2 paperback books, started doing crosswords. Sorry, I keep focussing on myself. Have a happy thanksgiving, you deserve hapiness.
