I don't go to a counselor and don't take meds, so here is the next best form of therapy for me. Please tell me what you think!!

Very nice painting, Artistic. I was always artsy too, but my favorite medium is oddly primacolor colored pencils. I never really learned to draw/paint on the computer but I love blending the colored pencils to make the picture look painted. Glad you have a great hobby to help you when feeling down.

I tend to crawl in bed and sleep when I'm feeling less than myself. Probably not a good thing, but I usually feel better when I get up. Or I go out shopping, even just to try stuff on for fun if I don't have money to actually buy something. Getting out of the house is probably the best thing for me when feeling this way.

I really love your work Artistic, I will try to post some of mine. I am a surrealist too. I see you are. My art teacher compared me to Salvador Dali... I love his work!!!

I hope that your art keeps you feeling good. I usually paint when I am depressed. That seems to be the only time I can do it. Take care my friend.

It has been said that many artists of all types are depressed, manic orbipolar because therir souls are sotender and hearts so big that they cannot stand the cruelty of the world and retreat into their art instead.

Cruelty ignorance domination, tyranny even rudeness tear at an artisits's soul and we retreat to a world where to us things make more sense.

Just my opinion

Art,
One of my poems. An outlet for me

My heart scars are somewhat faded But this woman is more than jaded A puzzle still being worked on But this masterpiece just needs time Time to forgive and in some cases forget Though my pride and ego might take a hit But I can't live my life enraged Fighting to live another day Resisting the sanity because it holds peace And my emotions won't let my heart be released From the anger that burns through my soul And the piece of my heart that youll always hold Still finds a way to POP back up When I'm ready to say I'm no longer stuck I'm no longer succumbing to this depression I'm no longer tried from years of repression And just when I think I've been healed A new scar once missing is once again revealed

Cool art, and Kel, you captured a raw emotion there as well, I like your poem. Thanks for sharing.

I used to run, and run and run, now, my body is too broken to run and I really miss it.

Now, I write poetry, spend time with my "kid"/ Cat, listen to music really loud, as my ears are broken too, spend time texting my best friend, do the house up is theraputic for me, as is mowing lawns, but probably one of my most rewarding ways of getting me out of the dumps, is to do something good for another, or make a difference in another persons life.

Thanks Awty. I've been writing poetry since I was 10. My parents would buy me journals everytime they went to the store because I either wrote poetry or just had to write random things. It just came out, I don't even think about it. I just get an urge to write and it flows. I also agree with you about helping others. It does make me feel awesome knowing I might make a difference, at least even make someone laugh. Laughter is surely great medicine.
