Thank you for your interest in this post.

I'm a new member of the community, and I am also a graduate student at the University of Rochester working on my PhD in Psychology. My research focuses on how young families (with 2 or 3 year old children) grow and change over time.

In that light, I am hoping that you might be willing to take this survey (thereby helping me to understand how a wide range of families navigate this stage). The details of the study are below as well as a link to the online survey. In addition, the study has been approved by the site administrator, and all information gathered is confidential. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have about the study, and thanks in advance for your interest in participating.

You are living with a romantic partner
You and your partner are both at least 18 years old
You think your partner might also be willing to complete an online survey
You have a 2 or a 3 year old child that lives in your home at least half the week

I would appreciate it if you could take a few moments to complete this online survey and/or forward the link to others who have 2 or 3 year old children.

The Family Dynamics Survey:
Is voluntary and confidential
Can be completed online
Is SHORT (takes 20-25 minutes)
Involves you and your partner both participating (at separate times)
Will offer you feedback on your relationship.
5 empirically validated dimensions of relationship functioning
Includes optional follow up surveys
Brief surveys (10-15 min)
Occurring 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 months after the initial survey
Chance to win $100 for each follow up assessment completed!

In response to people's questions, YES, it is totally fine to forward the link to other parents that you know who might be interested in taking the survey. We will be recruiting parents for the next couple of months, but please email us if you have any questions. (See email address in original post).
