So I got a prescription for Lexapro for depression and anxiety and it is absolutely amazing. I can't stop smiling, I laugh and engage in conversations easily. I've only been taking it 5 days. I do feel slight nausea and I am just eating enough, a good thing. Two to five hours after I take my dose I feel especially awesome. This is some powerful stuff! I am a little worried about the sexual side effects--haven't had a chance to try try yet. Anyone else have similar experience with Lexapro and should I expect this to continue? I'm taking 10mg a day. Thanks.

good for you. haven't been on it long enough (past) (about 4 days) to answer your question. it effected me very negatively, albeit i know it works well in others. keep talking with your doctor and pharmacist. pharmacists are wonderful on specific information pertaining to side effects. very happy that it is working for you so well and quickly. welcome to the forum. with kindness, jamie

I noticed an improvement 1 day after starting my Zoloft. It might be somewhat a placebo effect, but in other ways I'm sure the medication is helping. I had tried Lexapro when I was a teenager and had no response from it. But I am glad to hear you are having such a positive response so quickly! And don't worry about the side effects - not everyone experiences them. And if you do, maybe you could eventually lower your dose or try something else with fewer side effects. But I hope you continue to feel so well.
