Hi I'm new to this forum and I am glad I found it. I have felt depressed for about 15 years and last week I decided to finally seek treatment. I was prescribed Effexor-XR 75 mg. Once a day.
I have only been taking these for three days but I felt 100% better after taking the first pill. Is this possible? Or does it usually take a couple of weeks to start feeling better. Thank you for any comments.

Welcome DownNout!!

I accept help any way I can get it! I thought my anti-d was helping me in a few days too. I didn't care if it was a placebo affect or the real medicine working . . . relief is relief.

So glad you found us. You will be of great encouragement to many here. Hope to see you post often.

Blessings!

Wanting to add my welcome DownNout! I just changed to EffexorXR from paxil this week and it has made a remarkable difference in how I feel emotionally and physically. Glad you found us and hope you find the answers you are looking for.
