my therapist done some seriously goood work for me. and i thanked him accordingly.
i have been given the full name and contact details of the court counsellor, who i will call monday morning, we will arrange for me to have a court network volunteer on the days i need to attend. this person can assist in advising the court of my status, ie sugars, needing to test and do needle and take medication etc. can also advise the court if i am mentally / physicallly struggling. the use of a quiet room whilst waiting to be called has been offered. need to ask if support persons can attend. and i will ask monday. need to ask if i am required to attend everyday, as i am am coming a very long way. you are all booked in at the same time, but not everyone is called that day. the counsellor maybe able to assist with this.. need to find out when i can speak to the counsellor-ie is it in-between breaks etc?

wish me luck,
jamie

thx for listening and caring

Jamie: I have the absolute "bestest therapist in the world" and it sounds like you do too.  Wow, it sounds like he really thought about everything and knows the legal system very well.

I hope this helps to calm you.  What makes me feel a lot better for you is you mentioned that there will be other people going in and out of this process too.  I never wanted to intrude by asking you if you were the only one or if there were others.  To me, that sounds much better that there are many others going through this too.

Getting prepared for and going through this sounds like total hell, but as my therapist would say, keep looking for that light at the end of the tunnel.  Once this is over with, you will hopefully be able to close this painful chapter of your life.  And perhaps feel a little better to be able to start looking forward.

the court counsellor got back to me and was very nice.
i can have a network volunteer help me, a quiet room and my support
crew can be with me. she said she will check on me also. i am to arrive
30mins earlier and ask for her, she will show me the court room. i have her
direct number so i can call her fri if i have any further questions. also the
magistrate is aware of my medical / mental health conditions and has
advised the court counsellor who advised me that they will try to get me
done all in the one day. i am third up. the court process of question and
answer has been explained a little more to. so i am a little more at ease.
still scared but ok. thx for listening and caring, jamie

jamie,

Thinking of you my friend and just trust that you will be OK.  Knowledge is power and now you have more info on how the process works so when the anxiety builds - kick it to the curb and know that this whole situation will soon be history and you will leave it in the past. Don't be afraid of your feelings, Jamie.

Lean on your support system the day you have to appear in court and ask for what you need to help you make it through.

Gentle Hugs,
Kitt
