Hi. I usually post on the anxiety forum but I thought this might be a better place to post how I was feeling today. I woke up this morning really tired, my whole body felt heavy. It was a real effort to get up and I only got half dressed before I decided to call in sick to work. I went back to bed ans slept until 1pm. I could have stayed in bed longer but I forced myself to get up and have lunch. after a couple of hours I went back to bed with the same heavy, lethargic feeling. I found it hard to even think or more accurately I couldn't be bothered thinking about anything. I do have a history of mild depression connected with my anxiety, which I take 50mg of Zoloft for.
Does anyone else get like this? How do you deal with it?
Thanks :)

It sounds like your depression is getting worse Belleadonna. I would talk to your psychiatrist or counselor about this. There is probably some meds or an increase that would help you. I have fibromyalgia and I slept for about two years. It was horrible. So do what you can to keep yourself out of bed for the time being. Unless it is beyond your control, then don't feel guilty for sleeping. It could be depression or chronic fatigue. I would talk to the doc about it.

I hope that you feel better soon. Welcome to the depression forum.

Hugs, Karen

Luckily I don't feel like that all the time but it does happen every now and then. I'm convinced I developed chronic fatigue after getting glandular fever, strep throat and some bizarre secondary infection all with in 6 months when I was about 16 but was never officially diagnosed. I've been back on zoloft for about 8 weeks. before going of it last year I was on it for about 8 years. I've got a drs appointment coming up so I will mention it.
Thanks for listening
