Does anyone else have trouble finishing even the most basic task without worrying about the outcome and stressing over it and feeling bad? My confidence in my own ability has faded to the point where I don't trust myself to do anything right. And my attention span is almost completely diminished, I can't do much without being distracted by negative thoughts and bad feelings. That really slows me down and makes everything seem difficult.

Yes, I realize these are all signs of our dreadful mood disorder, but if anyone has found ways to deal with such problems I'd love to hear about them.

about the only thing I can really suggest at this time is to try to break down your tasks into shorter, simpler, more manageable series of task.

For example...putting on your shoes. You can look at it as find your shoes and socks, put on the socks, put on the shoes, tie the right shoe, tie the left shoe...done.

or you can look at it like:

Find socks...done
find shoes....done
put on socks....done
and so on.

If need be make checklists of all the little tasks that go into finishing the big one.
