It has been some time since I wrote. I originally wrote because I was am on 75mg of lamictal and 2mg of abilfy for depression. It was helping at first but I kept waking up in the middle of the night. I went to my doc today- she upped my lamical to 100 and then I will go to 150. I was taking Ambien in the middle of the night when I woke up- this put me in a fog.

Now, I am depressed again- very weepy and tired. I am unmotivated and cannot concentrate when it comes to work. I went to the doc today and she put me on Adderal. I am actually very excited about the fact that this will help me concentrate and become motivated (in particular at work). I took my first dose today.

She also put me on Neurontin for sleep and anxiety.

i am weaining off Cymbalta (not fun) but - SSRI's do not work for me (I have been on them all). I would like to know people's experience with Adderall. We are trying to find the right combo relieve depression, lack of motivation and concentration. And allow me to sleep. i

At this point since I do fall asleep very well- waking up in the middle of the night after 4-6 hours sleep has been the problem. I need about 8 hours of sleep to feel well. My therapist and psych said just get up and do not take extra sleep meds in the middle of the night- they cause me to be in a fog all day. I am on 30 mg of restirol which has always helped me sleep.

I would like to hear from people on Adderal xr 20mg. And your thoughts in general.

Thank you,
Sam

Hi Sam,

I take adderall xr 30mg and it works well for me. It gives me energy throughout the day. It doesn't make me nervous or anything. I find I can do so much more than without it. I hope that it works for you. I am going to give your thread a title. That way you will get more responses.

Hugs, Karen

Thank you so much Karen. I could not agree more. I took 20mg for the first time today and got much more accomplished than I normally would. Thanks so much for your input!

Sam
