Hi All,

Just a reminder Dialect behavioural Therapy group is on tomorrow - check http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html to see what 9am and 6pm Saturday, Brisbane, Australia is for you - no day light saving for me.

Good luck with finding your local time.

Jade

two newbies and two oldies today - and me - I'm ancient :)

DBT can be quite a self-reliant way of life so we discussed how resilience's inclusion of support from others might be helpful or harmful.

We workshopped one participants area of life where she feels stuck. It didn't help much that I feel stuck in the same way, but I could empathise with her, and share with her what I do and plan to continue to do to get out of that great big bog that we are both struggling with.

It was a nice friendly chat and I was pleased it went as well as it did, given that it wasn't about DBT itself, but DBT in the context of resilience.

It was an interesting session with a balance of intellectual discussion and managing emotion all in one.

Great work all who attended!!!

Hi All,

In the weekend groups, I intend to use http://marc.ucla.edu/mpeg/01_Breathing_Meditation.wma to introduce the sessions.

Please feel free to trial it during the week. It is only 5mins.

Let me whether you get around to it and how you find it.

Cheers,

Jade

Certainly will be User Anonymous - any interested people can come - they don't need to be bipolar or even mentally ill - DBT can help us cope with all chronic illnesses and life in general.

Thanks.
I'll check the time zones and try to be there.

My therapist recently started DBT with me but we haven't reach too far though. So I would really like to be part of this.

Thanks again

NP UA - world times are tricky, esp with day light savings coming and going around the world.

Everyone else - please remember the group time is only 7pm Fri if you live in the UTC -4 zone (eastern North America / Central South America line)

I get to know my geography with this gig :)

hi all, can you please tell me if you are NOT coming to group.

is it always the way when we go to the biggest effort to make group, that will be the day that no one turns up?

I was up all night looking after sick foster cats and when my alarm went it took everything I had to drag myself out of bed. I could have stayed in bed and got the rest my body so desperately needs. I'm heading back to bed now, but please just let me know when you can't make it.

Thanks, Jade

Hi Living Well,

You sound very upset :-(
Firstly, I just want to apologize for not being here today. I hope that you're okay.

Unfortunately, I started back to work this week and I didn't reach home until after 8pm tonight. hence the reason why I didn't make it on time. Please take note that my first day in the DBT chat was helpful to me and I had plans to come again. I still have plan to come for the rest of chat/sessions. What you offer in the group is very interesting and helpful and I know it takes up your time and effort. Kindly take note that I do appreciate what you do in the group :-)

I will try my best to be there next week.

Again, I'm very sorry and I hope you will be fine.

Best Regards,
