I was recently prescribed 2 mg of Abilify once a day, a low dose. Since then, I feel better overall, but I feel almost like I'm on "speed" (never been on speed, but how I imagine it!) I waked up after sleeping short spurts every night, many times a night, so I get up, surf the web and try to go back to bed. My shrink said to start taking it in the mornings since I was having insomnia. Well, even taking it in the a.m. makes no difference. I'm not sure what I should do...I hate to give up something that's helping otherwise...
Also, I feel like I wanna gag a few times a day, not from being nauseated, but just my throat.
Any ideas? Thanks all!

Will the doc give you something for sleep? Maybe ambien or something? I don't have this trouble, I do take abilify 10mg a day. But I do take ambien at night with a xanax. I do wake up, but can usually go bacfk to sleep unless I am having hip pain in which I get up early.

I hope you can continue taking this. It has been so helpful for me. Talk to the doc about a sleep aid. If he doesn't give you anything, try melatonin. It works good most of the time.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks a lot, Karen! I am so tired and sleepy, but can't sleep! It's like I'm tired, but wired at the same time! I almost feel "high" (never been high, but what I'd imagine!)
