Hi Everyone,

Lately, I've been relapsing and not sure what to do. I'm recovering from the accident. I have good days and bad days with regards to the pain. I have not seem my therapist since the 28th March since she was overseas. She's back now but I haven't gone to see her because of the physical pains due to the accident. We were not 'connecting' in therapy since I don't really like to talk about myself or what's going on with me. I finally started talking and then she went away for a bit. I was okay with it. But the accident happened the same day which brought some confusing feelings to me with the shock and trauma.

I know I'm recovering but I'm also relapsing. Lately, I feel really frustrated and depressed I think. I've started to self-injured myself again. This is the first thing I go to when I feel sad or frustrated. I don't think. I don't even know what I'm doing until I'm finished and I feel relieved. Not sure why 'm feeling this way and doing this again.
Nothing else seems to work such as the distractions techniques.

Not sure what to do but I feel really hopeless and frustrated lately.

Any advice please?

Thanks

Please see your therapist and let them know what is going on. You could stop yourself from really getting badly depressed this way. I see you don't like to talk about yourself, but this is important for you to do. Don't let yourself fall into a deep hole. I am sorry about your accident. Was it a car accident? Have you seen anybody for the pain you are experiencing? I think that would help you.

I hope that you feel better soon. Glad you posted.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks.

Yes, it was a car accident:

Been to the doctor on many occasions. I'm currently on pain meds and muscle relaxants.

UA you did brilliantly in group today. (I had missed this thread before now). You are so open to changing things up you are inspiring. Don't think I don't know how hard that is to do from the place of deep depression - that is why I can see your strength and bravery - even though you might feel quite weak atm. Keep going with those baby steps we talked about, and use this thread as support to help get through any challenges - internal or external - that you may come across x

Thanks LW and getting by.

I'm ok for now.
I spoke to my therapist briefly over the phone but have not been to see her as yet. Will do so as soon as I can more about a little more freely.

Thanks
