DOCTORS! aaarrrggghhh! Gosh, I feel bettter.
While I was inpatient 2 weeks ago the doc and I lowered 2 medications and chose one to cease when I see my PCP.
Now that I am Out Patient the DO wants to ADD Depakote ER. I can not say that I do not need a mood stabilizer when the "bad" flash backs or new memories hit, but geez, couldn't we just try to stay with the Ativan? No was the answer.
My actions were not appropriate enough and I get to soggy in group to "suit" the trauma therapist. So much for not being able to cry anymore. Be careful what you wish for...
Anyway, I am now on 8, count them, 8 medications. The only bright side is the mgs were lowered significantly on 2 and kept there. The new one is supposedly just a "bandaid" until the "chronic PTSD" cools down. We shall see.
I spent 1/2 hour with my pharmacist making sure all my meds were safe, even she was concerned!
All are marked with a sharpie so I do not take anything at the wrong time of day. I need to get a multi-daytime pill box.
Goal is to still REDUCE medications.
Happy Friday everyone!
