Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I was prescribed cipralex 10mg. I am only supposed to take 5mg for the first week, and then go up to 10mg just so my body can slowly adjust.

I was wondering if anyone could let me know what the main side effects are?

It's only my second day taking it but I can easily say I'm feeling completely exhausted and my head feels foggy. Other than that I don't feel much different but the pharmacist said it takes 3-5 weeks for full effects to kick in and my anxiety/depression can sometimes seem worse in the meantime..

If anyone has experience with this medication I would love to hear about it.. (and please only positive post**** smilewinkgrin ..... I don't want to hear that the medication is garbage and doesn't work because everyone is different and I don't need anymore negative thoughts entering my head!) :-)

Thanks so much!

Hi there,

This is what I found on cipralex...

It is true, not everyone gets the side effects.  And it takes six to eight weeks to reach full poptential, so be patient with this medication.  I hope you don't get side effects, but if you do, they generally go away in a week or two.

Best wishes for good results.

Hugs, Karen
