Hi, my name is Cathy and Im 61 yrs old. I have had neuropathy in both feet and legs, and now in hands. New problem is scary to me. A week or so ago I could barely type, letters left out or added. Words displaced. Just a mess. Well, that has now gotten better, Now, in last 2-3 days I cant make a phone call because I cant get the numbers in order. Took me 4 times today to call a perscription in. Have any of you had this happen?

I have that problem from time to time, but I have fibromyalgia and figure it is fibrofog. I have had times though when I couldn't remember a number that I know by heart. It is kind of scarey. But I am 53, so I chalk some of it up to fibro and some of it up to age.

I often forget what I am saying in the middle of a sentence. Or go into a room and forget why. So you aren't alone.

I hope that you feel better soon.

Hugs, Karen

Hi, thanks for response. I was thrown for such a loop with these symptoms. Since I was diagnosed with diabetes 3 weeks ago I thought maybe the new meds. for diabetes was causing the symptoms. I am just so tired and I know that the long list of my diagnoses and the combo types of medicine surely has to be part of the physical side effects. I just have to be strong and take it a day at a time...thanks again.......Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Taking it one day at a time is right. You will probably find different symptoms yet as you progress. I hope with medications you can keep everything under control. Know that stress can really effect you too. Try not to stress over things.

I use to have blood sugar problems from stress. They called it glucose intolerance. My blood sugars were spiking and dropping. But with diet, and relieving stress from my life I got better. Stress was the culprit.

One day at a time is all we can do. And when you go with the flow of life, it is much easier. You will get the hang of it. Keep trying. And give yourself a pat on the back once in awhile.

Hugs, Karen
