Taking it one day at a time is right. You will probably find different symptoms yet as you progress. I hope with medications you can keep everything under control. Know that stress can really effect you too. Try not to stress over things.
I use to have blood sugar problems from stress. They called it glucose intolerance. My blood sugars were spiking and dropping. But with diet, and relieving stress from my life I got better. Stress was the culprit.
One day at a time is all we can do. And when you go with the flow of life, it is much easier. You will get the hang of it. Keep trying. And give yourself a pat on the back once in awhile.
