I just found this site and have been reading older post on weight gain with zoloft.
My doctor put me on zoloft about 2 months ago and since then I have gain 10 lbs.
I also take cymbalta for anxiety and back pain and have been taking it for about 2 years.
I am coming off cymbalta now was taking 60 mg and have been reduced to 30 mg. I thought
this might have contributed to my weight gain. I have started eating healthy and exercising
doctor also gave me diet pills and they do seem to help and I have really cut back on my eating.
But still have gain about 1 lb and don't seem to be able to loose any weight. Thinking about
coming off the zoloft. I take 50 mg daily going to cut down to 25 mg then come off from there
after about a couple of weeks. My anxiety is fine, really feel no different since reducing my
cymbalta. As I tell my doctor I am not depressed except for gaining weight. He says that Zoloft
does not cause weight gain. Asking for any advise and what others have experienced while taking
zoloft. confused

Some people do gain weight on zoloft, though I didn't. I lost, but was living with a lot of stress and was losing weight anyway. I didn't stay on zoloft long because it gave me really bad diarrhea. I hope you get some information on zoloft here. Remember everybody is different when it comes to the side effects of meds. How long have you been on zoloft? Orten early side effects go away in a couple of weeks. What kind of diet pill are you taking?

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you stick around.

Hugs, Karen

Hi there...

I just posted something about zoloft myself.

I have gained 20 pounds in 2 months and it has caused a lot of frustration and depression for me.

I dont feel like myself anymore when I look in the mirror and people have made comments about my appearance so I understand where you are going through.
