One week out and going fairly strong.  Karen, discharge from out-patient counciling means you don't go there anymore you continue with your own therapist once a week and your phsyc. once a month.
I am amazed with new memories, flash backs and bad thoughts that I am doing well enough to stay on track every day. Yes I did climb a huge hump last month and learned that "Skills" really are to key to survival through these journies.
MINDFULNESS seems to the most helpful in controlling urges and upheaval of emotions.

One of my struggles is my medicine for Phsyc and medicine for TN and cluster pain counter act each other so it is hard to fine a happy balance.  Depression increases when that balance gets off!  Does not help when doctors quit on you.  I have a new neurologist appt on 7.26.12 we will see if he gets on my side or if it becomes to difficult for him.

Happy Monday everyone, have a great day!

Let me know...

Thank you Jamiee, that is my intention anyway! Yes, Karen, I do have a therapist and he is just great. That is the one area I think was blessed in. Almost everyone I meet does not like their therapist and I encourage them to change.
Why pay money to someone you are not comfortable with, do not trust? The therapy will not work if there is no trust! I can even call mine 24/7 well, text, and he will get back to me when he can. Usually within 6 hours, thats overnight. I do not abuse the access; it is working out pretty good so far. I have other people, 2 friends and my husband to reach out to before the therapist. I have been going to this therapist since 4/2011 from the start of my memory recall.

I think it is fantastic that you have a good therapist. I do too. I see so many who get ones that are not too good. I feel bad for them, it turns them off of therapy. I always recommend changing if they aren't helping you.

This is so good to hear. Keep up the fantastic work!!!

Allow me to clarify the "memory recall" because so many people misunderstand.

I started to recall the memories on my own and saught out the therapist.  The therapist did not encourage the memories in any way.  In fact he doggedly refused to give me answers on dreams when I asked point blank questions.  replied with answers such as " well, lets just wait and see if you remember anything that ties to the dream, shall we?"  Very frustrating.

However, it reduced the question of if they, the memories were real or not.  I know for sure they came from me and me alone.

Does that make sense?

Are you talking about repressed memories? And having dreams that you think may be events that have happened? Well, when a repressed memory comes back, you will know it. You wont wonder... It is sometimes traumatic, but your mind will only let you remember what you can handle. Take this one day at a time. Don't try to force it. It will come soon enough.
