I am going thru so much depression after getting a DUI on Jan the 2nd The courts have set me up for failure and I do not know where to turn. The court system will not let me try to change my life they just keep bringing up all bad and nothing good. I need help as I am having suicidal thoughts every day that I cannot control SOS.

I wsh I knew how to help. Is there any way to talk to a counselor, even if it's through the court system somehow. You can feel better. Getting a DUI is one mistake. What are some things you do well? YOU are not the DUI, you are a good person who made a mistake. You're not locked into it. Keep seeking help.

Thank you for any info you have, I just don't see any way to build myslef back up as I have always been a very upstanding citizen. The court system sets you up for more mistakes and takes your life as a meaning less subject. I have sought various programs to help me get threw this and nothing seems to work. I think there are so many bad apples and that has affected the way that I am treated by the Indpls court system.

Hardman,

Sounds like you have been traumatized by this event.

Whatever the court says is what you must do. If your lawyer can not help you, you can choose another, possibly. If not, try to accept it and move on.

I suggest you find a couselor or therapist and start working through this. There is a lot of anger in you for the unfairness you are experiencing and you need to process this in a healthy way. IF you don't you will only add to you problems.

NO one ever said life was fair, but we do have live it.

Stay strong.

Hardman if you are still having bad thoughts everyday you MUST tell a doctor or call a crisis center! This is very important, they will help you get counseling!
