Every time a have an appt with my therapist, I always get so anxious. I've been seing her for 3 months and I really like her but I'm always so nervous. I dont know why... I guess I just dont like talking about me... She gets me out of my confort zone...

Then she is doing her job. Getting us out of our comfort zones is the point of therapy. However if you feel an extreme amount of anxiety, mention this to your therapist. Maybe things are going too fast for you? Always let your therapist know how you are feeling.

Hi Caro11,

I use to feel that way as well and I still do whenever I have a appointment with my therapist. I've been seeing her for 9 months. As Kaely said, please mention how you're feeling with your therapist. He/she will may be able to help you.

Hope your appointment goes well.

Take Care

Hi Caro11,

These guys are right, it is suppose to make us think about things and learn to cope. But do mention your anxiety to your therapist. That alone might take it away. I get the same way and I have been seeing mine for years now. Don't feel alone.

Hugs, Karen

Thank you for your support. It gave me courage to see it's not just me.
I did has you suggest and told her how I was feeling but she could tell. I know why too, I always get nervous when I have to talk about me and she made me realise that its not only with her, its with everybody and that is why I'm in depression... I'm starting to open up to my family lately and I feel the same anxiety with them. I'll continue to work on that, I'm on the right path :-)
Thank you again,
Caroline
