Would someone need to taper off 20mg Celexa after only 1 month??

That is possible. I don't know for sure. But it might be in your system enough to have to taper off... Have you talked to your doc about it???

You really need to discuss this with your doctor. Everyone is different but your doctor knows YOU. Never ever change your dosage of an SSRI without a doctor's supervision.
Chronic pain, Depression, Fibromyalgia, Tennis Elbow (both arms), Arthritis, Diabetes. Ruptured disk L4-L5, Severe degenerative damage L5-S1, L5 Nerve root displacement, ACDF C5-C6

I don't know much about that particular drug, however if the doctor is recommending, then there is a very good reason for it.

You can research the drug on the internet and see with the side effects are and warnings. Also, you could ask your pharmacist.

Some drugs are just that powerful.

Doctor knows she is coming off of it and recommends skipping every other day for 5 days and stopping. I have read that thats not a great idea so i am thinking of giving her 10mg for a week and then maybe skipping is that enough tapering?

I would follow the doctors instructions or ask the pharmacist! Never self medicate, never a good idea.
