I know how you feel, been that way myself. If you have a dog, walk the dog around to meet the neighbors. Nothing like babies and dogs to break the ice.
you can start by sitting out side and reading. then waving to the neighbors. Before you know it you might be talking to one.
If this scares you too much, you need a therapist. Don't want to get stuck in the house now.
