How brave of you to do peer counceling in school. If I had not been repressing then I don't think I would have been that brave.
As for your manner when your speak, I do the same exact thing and I have been in therapy 2 years. I only cry if I talk about
the abuse in whole. I was abused for 15 years by 4 people. I only recently had a small breakthrough in my therapy releasing some of my old anger.
This is a very normal thing, your body/mind is still trying to protect you from the "harmful" thing that you feel. So you are numbing or in a small way dissociating.
It takes such a long time to come around to feeling the anger, the rage and the tears.
stay in peer counceling. this is good for you. However...
I suggest you find a therapist trained in "trauma" and go back to therapy. It will take a while by once the break through happens you will start to feel better. Make sure the therapist is trained in trauma abuse though, or you will be waisting good time and money.
Peace and courage.
