Hi there,

I've been on Wellbutrin for more than two years and I'm wondering if the effectiveness is wearing off. One friend of mine said it happened to him. The 8 pounds I lost the first few weeks I went on Wellbutrin are back on, along with ten more pounds. Hard to say if this is age, not enough exercise or the drug.

After two years on Zoloft, my doctor informed me that long-term use of Zoloft has been linked to weight gain. That's when I switched to Wellbutrin, which generally is NOT linked to weight gain. I'd be curious to know if any of u have had any of these problems.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Brenda!!

I haven't used Wellbutrin, but a close friend has used it for at least 8 years. He uses a combination of two anti-d's, but not sure what the second one is. The second one was the one they have changed over the years. He has been the same size all those years.

Hope you get lots of responses!!

Blessings!

Hi Brenda,
I got the EXACT same suggestion as Rosie from my doctor when I talked to him about this as well. He said that it shouldn't be a problem to skip one night of my medication and it really did help. I would still ask your doctor before you did this but my doctor told me that it wouldn't be a problem.
Take Care
