Good morning .......
Hope everyone is doing a bit better. It should be into the 70's here today - so I need to make sure we get out in that weather.
A miserable time sleeping last night. I watched "House" in the wee hours of the morning. 55-minutes of the show for House to figure out what kind of disease this research doctor had .... then he died! Not quite what i needed!!!
UA .... a service for your Dad at 6-months! A wonderful tribute of respect and love. Could you give one of my daughters a call?
Karen ..... so you're finally getting nice weather! And going out to eat besides - excellent! I'm thinking of ditching my excercise class today at noon - and going to see if that mom/pop place still has pot roast. That was really good two weeks ago. And a pot roast dinner take-out for $7.99 - same price as their hickory-smoked 1/2 chicken dinner!!
Michele ..... I had herbal peppermint tea several times last week - and it did help to relax - and no caffeine, so I had it at night! My youngest daughter told me she did not get any boots yet!!! She said she has looked but there are so many types. Are ostrich boots fairly common??? I'm sure they're pricey!!!
JB1 ..... the lady who passed (actually last Friday) was one that everyone looked up too. She had the worst prognosis ... but the biggest smiles! She just had to cancel a short cruise that she and her husband were going to do in April - because she was going to suddenly do two weeks of intense radiation. There is a re-occurrence support group meeting on Thursday, the day she will be buried. I know this is going to be a difficult meeting for everyone to be at. She was the motivational heart of this group.
It's been a few days, but i did go over to see my oldest daughter and family on Sunday. She's now just 2-years away from four-oh!!!!
My oldest grandaughter was a quiet jewel - if that makes any sense. As a sophmore in H.S. - she took her ACT and scored a 30! She has been approved to take one college course at the teachers college she plans to go to in two more years - full-time.
And she's about 30-hours short of driving time to take her license tests. She'll be 16 in 3-weeks .... and, of course, time has flown! My daughter asked if my car was a stick shift .... and it is. It's not done to keep daughters and grandaughters from driving my car .... but - what can I say - it's the only way this model came.
My youngest called me later that night. She found a park that she really wants to run in - but the new position has her running around alot right now. She should be able to start seeing some of Austin in another week or two - including that park. And she's going to join a dog rescue group. She has become a master of networking - so much better than I ever was!!!
By the way .... Myself OR Michele ...... should I be giving any words of warning or wisdom to my grandaughter. She absolutely wants to go into teaching.
Enjoy the day - hope it's a good one!
