Well---today (Mon)---saw both my therapist & my pdoc later   Official diagnosis ( you were RIGHT ON, Shannon!!!)---Major depression w General anxiety disorder.    Also, when talking w my therapist, lots of stuff about my younger days came up & problems w one of my parents (emotional abuse).

So, pdoc was VERY nice, understanding & very intelligent!   We "connected" well.       He prescibed Effexor XR (minimum dose---it's like 37.5 mg or whatever minimum is)---taken in AM....& Seraquell (i think 300mg or whatever smallest dose is)---before bedtime.   He feels my depression is "reactive"...in that it's definitely related to my "loss" of seeing loving child---but....i've had it for 5 yrs.

OK-----I'd like some feedback (HOPEFULLY---something positive!)---on Effexor XR--& seraquel.     Any feedback would be helpful.     Also, my therapist said my "emotional abuse" as a child is causing me "Post traumatic distress Syndrome"-----Thanks---Robert
