Hello.

** WOW... Yes, I battle DEPRESSION really bad, too. Mine was brought on by a series of events, incl. injuries that still cause me intense chronic pain, job problems, deaths of parents, financial struggles, marital battles, living in five houses in less than one year and the stress and difficultuy of moving each time, and a few more things. All this took place from 2001 - 2003 and I have been battling the depression ever since... and it justs get worse and worse... not any better at all!

Yes, I have been to counseling, tried two different anti-depressants, and more. But, I am worse today than in 2001. If not for my strong Christian faith, my family needing me, and a couple of other items, I would not see a reason to keep living... I think I would be gone by now.

I am also on lots of pain Rx. for the Chronic-pain (This Rx does not help the depression, I know!), have a high stress job, and still battle marital problems. I am at my wits end -- the last knot on the "rope ladder of life." Does any body have any suggestions or sources of help?

Lee

Hello Lee,

Welcome to the Healing Well Depression Forum!! I hope you noticed that there is also a Chronic Pain forum here in case you want to say hello and check out some info there too.

Lots of us here deal with chronic pain . . . it is a real energy zapper for sure!!

Sounds like you have had way too much stress and sorrow for such a short period of time. Hugs for you Lee. You are right, attitude and faith can really make all the difference in coping with pain, chronic illness and depression.

Sometimes the weekends are a bit slow here, but I hope there are a few others around over the weekend to say hello and welcome!!

Blessings!

Hi Lee,wellcome to healingwell,

sorry to hear you are feeling down at the moment, I'm new here,

but there are a lot of caring people here, so you'r not alone,

Someone here posted a nice Christion website                         http://www.andiesisle.com/   ( I hope that's allright to say here)

I found it very up lifting. and I try to do a little something each day

that I enjoy doing, we all deserve a bit of time for ourselves,

are you taking any anti-depressants at the moment? if not,it might

be a good idea to see your dr.  and find the right anti-depressant

for you. I couldnt cope without mine.

                                    keep posting

                                           love Shelby
