I had the same issue with my thyroid, you will feel a little less depression once the synthroid kicks in.
How much water do you drink? I drink 8 or more glasses a day to cleanse my system from all the meds I take. I do hope your liver test come out ok.

the last link has suggested reading on meditation and mindfulness which is VERY helpful to calm yourself when getting upset, it allows you to put space between you and your emotions, starting the process of radical acceptance.
