Hey Joyce...SO grateful for your surgery being over for you. Continued prayers for good report tomorrow. I hope you've laid around and taken it very easy upon your return home. I nursed my aunt when she had hers. She was 80, but did excellent with her procedure in both eyes.
Hey Jess...Just MHO, but I think the holiday season makes us wax nostalgic for "what might have been". That's natural to visit that place, but don't get stuck there, sweetie. As others have stated, we care about your finding your pathway to independence, and success for you and your son. A "new man" will not solve anything right now...more likely to complicate your relationship with your son.
We must CELEBRATE what/whom we have in the present, rather that MEDITATE upon what/whom we could have had.
Karen, did you and your honey go sleigh-belling-ringing in your new ride this weekend?
Chel, Did I read your post correctly in that your son is now BACK HOME with you? That's not a spot I like to see you in. Thinking about you!
Myself...Noodles of any kind are FINE with me. We had noodles tonight with pesto. We just took our noodle bowls to sit in front of the fire. We watched Christmas shows tonight and hung with our fir baby Dalmatians.
Lisa...Hope some of your depression has lifted. Sometimes retail therapy helps.
DH and I drove down to Jackson for the day this weekend. We had a great lunch at our favorite (Newks) the a nice dinner at Logan's Road House. We got there too late, so we were rushed to get our food and get out (by the staff, although the restaurant was still overflowing with customers). We did some shopping, but not a lot. We just needed a change of scenery for a day.
UA...Continued thoughts of you with your impending engagement=)
Turtle, my Turtle...I keep hoping the wind will blow you my way so that we can sit and talk for hours. I'm sure that we could eat, drink, laugh and be merry. I'm just not feeling the season so far. I guess it's because I just feel so darn bad physically, which only deepens the sadness in my heart. I need my shelled friend as a distraction from this (agreed) commercialism=(
To all of you...I wish you restful sleep with visions of sugar plums=)
