Hello all. We've done the diadomaceous earth already, helped some I think, but having the exterminator coming every 2 weeks for 3 treatments seems to be doing the trick. The beds have been replaced and covered with the special covers, the recliner is wrapped and at the curb, the sofa will be next. I got bit again on my finger just last night, good thing the bug guy is coming again on Wednesday for treatment number 2!
Have been throwing out anything they could 'nest or hide in'. My hope chest, my book trunk, books, papers, anything cardboard...any fabric has been bagged in thick black plastic bags and placed in the sun awaiting laundering in hot water and dried in the hot drier.
Hopefully, all of this effort will be enough to have them eradicated from the house! We disassembled the recliner before wrapping it. I wouldn't want someone to take it into their house! Will probably use my new reciprocating saw on the sofa before wrapping that too! No 'curb shopping' here! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! (not that I have enemies, just sayin!)
At least the house will be less cluttered! Maybe I can keep it that way!
