Boy do I wish I could have a garden. However when I look at all the trees that block the sun and enable me to sit on the patio I consider myself rather lucky.
Wed am I called the Neuro office left 2nd message still in 10+ pain. John came home at 7:30p we went to local ER.
After waiting 3 hrs, sitting with a towel over my head and shaking from the pain. The waiting room was so nosiey, John took me to a smaller hospital a few miles aways. Took me right away.
Gave me IV, something for nausea, delauted for pain. Left with a script of 15, to last until my appointment on 8/31. Had this filled to today.
Finally yesterday afternoon the nurse called from Jefferson and was nice, concerned etc... called me back in a few hours, asked if I was feeling better I said yes, she was empathic and said good.
Told me. Doc. Maramora wants me to double the neurotin until I am seen by the RA on 8/31. OK I say. Then silly me asks I question!
Will dr. Maramora talk with RA about a new med? I don't know I only asked him the one question. she said very stressed!
So the upside of this is that, in the earlier conversation I had with the Nurse she explained that with botox, they have found that it takes multiple sets of 3mos treatments to see signifcant relief. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT!
And the darn RA has asked me 3 times about botox and she knows, if she was listening, that I only had one set completed.
I am not used to the Huge centers and getting lost in the system. With my abusive past it is worse.
But everyone that goes to these centers say the same thing. There is no warm and fuzzy. The Docs are untouchable, and you can wait up to 5 days for a call back.
Time for an advocado sandwich.
Thanks for listening to uncontrollable rant!
